This campaign, produced in Spanish and English, helped to explain the Harris County Hospital District’s new biometric scanning procedure, which scans the veins in each patient’s hand to verify his or her identity and maintain accurate health records in a system with thousands of duplicate names.

As a result, the system went into operation without any of the negative reaction HCHD anticipated.
