Mercer Health and Benefits

As much as we all love our health care benefits, understanding them can be a different matter. Sweeping health care reforms only add to the confusion. Over the last seven years, it’s been our privilege, as the communications team for Mercer Health and Benefits, to trudge through the perplexities to help employees of Houston’s three largest school districts find their way.

Each year, we try to top the last year’s efforts. Most recently, we replaced the traditional benefits guide with an interactive multi-media version that walks employees through the enrollment process at their own pace, with links to definitions, explanations and a video, all presenting a comprehensive look at medical plans, prescription services, voluntary options, and health and wellness opportunities in easy-to-digest bites of information.

An enrollment meeting video, direct mail, on-site posters and regular emails bring it all together in a fun and inviting campaign that employees and the districts appreciate.
